The PhotoniX consortium initiated the project through an informal online kick-off meeting, bringing together all partners to introduce the project objectives, discuss the implementation roadmap, and coordinate the first technical and management activities of the project.

The European Sustainable Energy Innovation Alliance (ESEIA) highlighted PhotoniX and The Cyprus Institute for securing an EIC Pathfinder grant.
